Beer week unites the generations

For over 20 years, beer week tuesday has been the day that unites generations. On this day a very special musical program will be offered in the stadl: famous interpreters of folk schlager and pop music will set the tone. Also in the 70. The organizers have once again put together a star-studded line-up for the 20th year of beer week – including the "niederbacher siblings" and "rudy giovannini". Already at 12 o’clock "safari" will be the first time to reach for the keys and the sides.

After its premiere last year, the kulmbacher beer week is now familiar to you and the audience is also female, here the mixture is right. True to the motto "music should make you happy", the program of the local band is varied and covers german schlager, oldies, but also folk and country music. Singing and swaying along is allowed.

The traditional formation of the "niederbacher siblings" will then be presented from the puster valley and the sudtiroler exception artist "rudy giovannini" captivating the stadl for almost three hours. One of the secrets of the success of the "niederbacher siblings their traditional, traditional, folk and atmospheric melodies are close to home. In the second generation, the quartet with angelika, andrea, christina and manfred presents songs from the sudtiroler mountains. But the four siblings also have a wide range of musical skills, so that they manage to transfer the spark of enthusiasm to the audience. In 2010 the quartet with the title "a song for mama the second place with the grand prix of the people music conquered.

"Caruso of the mountains

"Rudy giovannini" always hits its audience right in the heart. The singer from south tyrol presents all his hits: folk, traditional sounds, well-known german and italian hits and evergreens as well as some classical compositions. It is not for nothing that the trained schlager tenor is called the "caruso of the mountains" called.His ability was underpinned a few years ago by awards at the "grand prix der volksmusik" with three mountain crystals each as sanger and author. This makes him the most successful participant in the history of this competition. The afternoon was moderated by kulmbach’s radio presenter rainer ludwig.

The day of the generations naturally also attracts many seniors from all over the kulmbach region to the bierstadl. "The generation afternoon is an integral part of our beer week program. There’s a great informal atmosphere every time", says mayor henry schramm. "One always notices: our older burghers are in no way inferior to the young ones when it comes to partying." District administrator klaus peter sollner agrees: "for our elderly fellow burghers it will be as always a nice afternoon to celebrate together in a relaxed atmosphere in the bierstadl". In addition to the specially selected music and the reduced price, the organized shuttle bus service makes a visit to the beer week for seniors so attractive."

To ensure that everyone – especially older visitors – can reach the bierstadl comfortably and easily, a shuttle bus service will be available again this year. For more information on bus transfers, contact the senior citizens’ clubs in the kulmbach-kronach area.
